I am a doctoral level clinical psychologist (CPO # 10006730) trained in Iran (Ph.D. University of Shiraz) and Switzerland (University of Zurich), currently completing my supervised practice training as required by the College of Psychologists of Ontario under the supervision of Dr. Kimberly Sogge, Psych. CPO #4531. I am multilingual and provide services in English and Farsi. I have clinical experience in working with transition age young adults and adults offering individual and group evidence based treatments for anxiety, depression, personality problems, relationship issues and health issues including offering lifestyle interventions and support to patients living with cancer.
I am a passionate clinician with extensive graduate level psychology training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy and Systems approaches to psychotherapy. When you choose to work with me as your psychologist I am dedicated to guiding you on your journey towards mental wellbeing and optimal functioning.
In addition to my training as a scientist-practitioner in clinical psychology, I have a passion for holistic healing, I bring a wealth of experience and expertise to our therapeutic relationship. In my practice, I believe in the power of connection and relationships, echoing the words of renowned therapist Irvin D. Yalom, who stated,
“We are born in a relationship, we are wounded in a relationship, and we can heal in the relationship.”

Utilizing evidence-based approaches such as process-based Cognitive Behavioral therapies (Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, as well as elements of Intensive Short Term Psychodynamic Psychotherapy among other approaches), I integrate and tailor your treatment to meet your unique individual needs and goals.

Dr. Kimberly Sogge C.Psych., is the Founder of Ottawa River Psychology and Ottawa River Integrative Mental Health and is fully registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario as a doctoral level psychologist in autonomous practice (Certificate #4531) with dual registration to serve children/adolescents and adults in three specialties: clinical, counselling and health psychology. She has extensive training in CBT, ACT, CFT, Maudsley FBT (Family Based Treatment) for eating disorders in adolescents, ED recovery, mindful eating, and body image.
