FREE ONLINE WEBINAR: Enlisting the patient’s will to do therapy
By:Jon Frederickson, MSW
Overview:
We often begin therapy assuming patients want to face what they usually avoid. Then we get into trouble. The patients seem to collaborate, yet we see compliance—going along with the therapist’s desire. As a result, therapy seems to be going smoothly, but nowhere. This video presentation will study an initial session to see the importance of ensuring that the patient’s will drives therapy. You will learn how to assess whether the patient’s will is driving the therapy or whether the patient is unconsciously complying with the therapist, creating a quiet misalliance.
